Jorge Luis LlĂ³piz-ForjĂ¡n is a Cuban American painter and audiovisual entrepreneur, based in Miami, owner of the digital portal Forjan Gallery.

He was born in Havana in 1987. From an early age, his grandfather ForjĂ¡n taught him the first brushstrokes and the approach to figurative styles.

He studied at the renowned San Alejandro National School of Arts, in Cuba, and emigrated to the United States in 2005. Shortly after arriving in Texas, he participated in the contest “Life is Better with the Art in it”, in which he won a scholarship at The Art Institute of Houston.

Like all immigrants, adapting to a foreign culture and language, he sought jobs to earn a living in Texas and Florida. Despite the fatigue and the little time for his creation, he continued painting which allowed him to open his digital Forjan Gallery and established himself in Miami. His works have been part of collective exhibitions in Havana, Mexico, Houston, and Miami. In addition to that, his paintings illustrate book covers from the Nosotros publishing house. Some of his creations are in private collections in Cuba, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
