I was watching a national geography documentary about whales and their behavior especially jumping out of the water and plunging in it was mesmerizing and a kind of celebration of a new day. so I decided to get this painting done. I got the inspiration for the style of the painting from an American environmentalist artist named Shim Shimmel.
