Description
The idea for this work came when I saw a sculpture of Israel’s national bird in a temple. This bird Hoopoe actually has white and black feathers but in this painting, I painted royal blue and white to represent Israel’s flag. The rock is in the shape of the land of Israel. There are seven biblical fruits that have significance in ceremonies: dates, figs, grapes, pomegranate, olive, wheat, and barley. The political aspect of this painting is that the land of Israel is full of blessings and people work hard to keep it that way. But on the Arab and Palestinian sides is all desert.
